| From 1836 to 1848 the Texas/Mexico border was disputed. This map is closer to the Mexican claim using modern counties. Mexico has recaptured the west and anarchy dominates East Texas. Pick a side and unite the factions. Texas is so large it has close to 200 counties, so I have avoided my home state until now. Tom
